The type of institution that would distribute our film would be a mainstream one. We came up with a production company named ‘innovative ideas’. If this production company was an existent one, they would be similar to companies such as 20th Century Fox or Universal studios. Our reason for choosing a mainstream institution is entirely because our media product is aimed at a mass market, therefore in order to advertise to them, we would have to be a mainstream production company. Although our film is advertised to people over the ages of 15, I want a mainstream distributor to distribute our film so it reaches as many people as possible.
Our film may be similarly advertised to the audience the way films such as ‘The happening’ or ‘Shutter’ or ‘Deception’. The reasons why they would be similar to us is because they were aimed at a specific mass audience over the age of 15 and got an excellent response. These films are quite similar to ours as firstly, they are all aimed at people over the ages of 15 and they are thrillers.
